HOW YOU AND YOUR GROUP CAN HELP US BRING THE KIDS HOME
Tapestries Of Life Ministries provides a "hands-on mission" opportunity for businesses, communities, youth groups, mission groups, churches, individuals, and families to take a VACATION WITH A PURPOSE through our workgroup weeks. Workgroups are a vital part of our ministry. You and your team have an opportunity to be part of the construction of a home for homeless children. We need laborers of all ages and skills.

DETAILS ABOUT COMING FOR A WORK WEEK
While you are serving with us, we make sure you are fully accommodated and comfortable. We have a facility in Fabens, Texas (located 5 miles from the US/MX border) called, "The Outpost," that will accommodate up to 60 people comfortably with security, hot showers, innerspring mattress beds, heat & air, full cafeteria & a multi-purpose room with wifi. We provide transportation to and from the airport, 3 meals a day, clean drinking water, transportation to and from the orphanage, and a FUN time! (There is no need to bring your mosquito net.) We can accommodate groups of over 60 people, but your group must have people who are willing to bring a sleeping bag and air mattresses.

JOIN A BOOKED WORK GROUP
If you would like to come individually or with your family, then consider joining an existing group. We work with all churches and secular groups. We bring together the body of Christ, the Wesleyans, Christian Reformed, Lutherans, Baptists, Catholics, Assembly Of God, Reformed Church, non-denominational groups, and community groups, to work in unity. For more information about existing workgroups, email us about your interest and the week you would like to come to check availability. The cost is $700 per person. Anyone 12 and under with a chaperone is $350. This is an all-inclusive "vacation with a purpose." (Flights & all personal purchases are not included in this price.) Make sure to bring extra spending money for personal purchases. Please email or call if you want to join an existing workgroup.
BRING A WORK GROUP
BRING YOUR TEAM TO SERVE WITH US
To come as a "workgroup," you must establish a group leader and have a minimum of 10 group participants. The group leader will be our point of contact for organizing your group. Once your group leader contacts us, we will book your work week! The cost is $700 per person. Anyone 12 and under with a chaperone is $350. This is an all-inclusive "vacation with a purpose." (Flights & all personal purchases are not included in this price.) Make sure to bring extra spending money for personal purchases. WORK WEEK SCHEDULE
WHAT A WORK GROUP’S WEEK LOOKS LIKE
A typical work team is with us from Saturday-Saturday.
Arrival: The week starts with our staff picking you & your group up from the El Paso Airport (ELP) at whatever time you fly in. We load you and your group into our 15 passenger ministry vans and take off to our outpost in Fabens, TX (30 minutes outside of El Paso.) We will have dinner as a group at the outpost. You will have plenty of time to unpack and settle in.
Sunday: includes church, orientation at the orphanage and free time.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: These are workdays. You cross into Mexico, work during the day, eat delicious Mexican cuisine prepared by our cooks on staff, then return to the outpost in the evening to shower, have evening devotions, and a good night's rest.
Wednesdays: These are Mercy Ministry days! We have breakfast at the outpost & orientation for what to expect. Then we load up in our vans, cross into Mexico to a supermarket to pick up the food we will distribute. After shopping, we will then go to the community where you will get to distribute food to families in need. Saturday: We will serve breakfast, and drive your group to the airport.
